Iptim
Iptim is a decision support system for optimal sustainable use of timberland. Iptim covers decision support from the valuation of a potential timberland investment to the management of the existing portfolio.
Iptim supports forest inventory data management at different levels of detail, be it sample plot measurements, compartment inventory or area stratification. You can either design your own data model from scratch or import your existing inventory data, including the compartment maps.
With Iptim you can create your own growth & yield system using your inventory data. You can also utilize accurate sample tree measurements to construct single-tree stem taper models for estimating timber assortment volumes precisely.
You can create management plans that combine timber resources, available work force, equipment and infrastructure in an integrated plan. The outcome of the plan contains all the relevant information you need in order to manage your timberland efficiently.
We provide also customization services so that Iptim can be tweaked exactly to your specific needs.
Decision support software components
Sample plot inventory results, updating of inventory data, maximum allowable cutting levels based on the silvicultural guidelines, optimal harvest planning. These are examples of different DSS components that we have delivered to customers to be integrated into their existing IT infrastructure.
The SIMO framework gives us an ideal starting point for custom component development that takes into account client specific needs for decision support.
